Ana's new blog

For those who are still out there and receive the updates from the Bus Ride Diaries, I wanted to let you know that I've been writing in a new blog since living in Ecuador. You can visit it at:
http://anadecuador.wordpress.com

The name, anadecuador, is a small play on words that I credit to my good friend Annika. It can be interpreted as Ana D. Ecuador or Ana de Ecuador, and I am rather fond of it.

What is my new blog about?  Here is the description from the "about" page:

¨You do not learn to swim in the library,” says Paulo Freire. These are my reflections on my new home, Quito, Ecuador.  As a European-American immersed in Ecuador´s culture and politics, I aim to provide both an insider's view as well as an outsider's perspective.

While most of the posts are about exciting activist things I participate in or witness in the country, I do still occasionally indulge myself and write about mountains. Hope to see some of you there!
